4-axle flat wagon R(e)ns is designed for transportation of loose or palletised goods, bulk materials, railway panels, concrete sleepers, etc. The wagon can
also be used to transport military equipment and, if fitted with container elements, to transport containers.
The wagon has undergone design optimisation, with the main focus on its load-bearing underframe. These design modifications have resulted in an
extended service life for the wagon whilst simultaneously reducing its tare weight. The lower weight allows for an increase in the payload, and thus in the
wagon’s transport capacity.
At the same time, the optimised sidewalls provide simpler and more ergonomic handling for the operator. The wagon is available in two basic versions:
• version A – with the sidewalls Rens
• version B – without the sidewalls Rns
R(e)ns is a “DAC ready” wagon, which is ready for electrification and automatic brake testing. The wagon complies with the mandatory TSI WAG regulations, applicable UIC Leaflets, the GCU Convention on the Mutual Use of Freight Wagons in International Transport, and EN standards.
