The prototype demonstrates the possibilities of controlled operation of the individual wagon components \u2013 tarpaulin cover  and stanchions \u2013 simply, precisely and remotely:  \u2022 via an app on a tablet or mobile phone, either directly at the wagon or from the control centre,  \u2022 via a web interface.  After connecting to a power source via a battery, an external power supply or a locomotive, the operator can use an app or web interface to control the  individual functions of each wagon or a wagon unit included in the train. Opening or closing the tarpaulin cover can thus be done with just a few clicks,  without the need for manual intervention.  At the same time, the system continuously monitors the condition of the cargo. It detects the presence of coils and notifies the operator of any  asymmetrical loading, thereby helps to prevent incorrect loading and enhances transport safety.  The stanchions move independently of the width of individual coils, allowing the system to adapt flexibly to different load configurations and simplifying the  securing process.
